San Francisco Salad Co. opened its doors September 2003 and our idea was simple: provide good and really nutritious food, served fast. We focused on using higher-quality ingredients and concern for true freshness to make great food accessible to all people at reasonable prices
We use high-quality truly fresh greens and vegetables in our salads always. When we make our soups, we use classic cooking methods and distinctive food ingredients more frequently found in the world of fine dining.
Our goal has been to try to do a few things really well.
Because we don’t want our customers to have inferior greens in our salads, we never use greens cut one day to be an ingredient in our salads the next day.
Because we believe that good nutrition and good flavor can go hand in hand even in fast-food, we do what is necessary to achieve good flavor and still dial back to very little or no salt.

“Incredible place for healthy good food, not too expensive. If you eat chicken, their Grant Ave is a must try. Their salads always fill me up. You MUST try the sesame dressing - it is addicting. The chicken fennel soup is always pretty glorious. And the owner is the kindest, most personable person you’ve ever met. There is a really great vibe at this place.”
“Quick and healthy lunch option in downtown. The soup and salad combo is a great deal! Loved their Hawaiian balsamic dressing. Salad was fresh and crispy and the Tortilla soup was very flavorful and filling.”
“I love this place! Every time I walk in and they greet me as if I was an old friend they haven’t seen in such a long while. I am in love with their sesame balsamic dressing. It goes great over all of their different types of salad. It’s awesome when you find a place where you can engorge your tummy with so much food and still feel good about yourself. They have tasty soups as well, but trust me, one salad will fill you up for a while! They are a bit pricey, but that’s expected in the heart of the downtown Honolulu Financial District.”
